Community Responsibility
Our aim is to become the movers and shapers of our future and we believe enacting change begins as soon as our learners join our community. At Mangotsfield, we understand the importance of acting virtuously to deliver positive change locally and globally. Developing character is at the heart of our curriculum and social and civic responsibility provides a crucial strand through which our learners’ flourish.
We know small changes to the ways we work can make a big difference; our calendar of social and civic responsibilities provide our learners with numerous opportunities every year to help shape society positively by reducing inequality and improving our environmental awareness. Learners give their time to, fundraise for and communicate with those that require it most in our local community and beyond, tying in with our yearly cycle – Power of Community, Bristol, Global and Future Ready. Each curriculum year culminates in a sustainability project, enabling us to contribute towards fulfilling the UN’s meaningful and comprehensive manifesto (The Global Goals) to make the world more sustainable.
